In his complaint, Mendrez alleged that Herras threatened to burn his house down if he ignored him. The incident is said to have happened at the Luxent Hotel during the PMPC Star Awards Night for Television on March 23, where the pair was originally set to present an award together.
The “Nandito Lang Ako” singer did not go into details as to the cause of their sudden misunderstanding that led to grave threats, and said he is leaving it to his lawyer, Chiqui Advincula, to take care of the legalities. “Nandito si Jojo Mendrez para magkaroon ng recordal of his complaint doon sa insidenteng nangyari na pagbabanta sa kanya, amounting to grave threats, he must be threatened to be harmed sa person niya at sa kanyang property,” Advincula told reporters.
