FARGO — The recent snowstorm has had the unusual effect of making the month of April the snowiest of this winter season for Fargo and Moorhead. The measurement of 6.7 inches of snow April 2-3 is more snow accumulation than has been measured in any of the months this winter.
Fargo got 4.6 inches in November, 5.8 inches in December, 3.
0 inches in January, 6.4 inches in February, and just 1.4 inches in March.
The total for the winter season now stands at 27.9 inches, which is more than 20 inches below average to date, and 23.8 inches below the average winter total.
For Grand Forks, the April total is only 2.1 inches and not the snowiest of the winter. The seasonal tally for Grand Forks is now 32.
