Legendary Beatles co-founder and member John Lennon is an iconic figure, who though has his own look, many believe favors a special beloved Hollywood star actress

John Lennon might have a doppelganger, and it’s not one who many would assume it to be straight off. The Beatles co-founder, and arguably the most influential group member, was in a lane of his own, thus why his name lives on years after his death. After it was recently announced that there were Beatles biopics in the works, along with the actors who will portray said rock group members, there was much online discussion about casting.

Many debated whether the men chosen to play each Beatle, specifically Harrison Dickinson, who is set to play John Lennon, were right for the role. Amid the conversation, some began comparing John to a legendary Hollywood actress, who they believed favored the late singer-songwriter more than Harrison. “While we are at it, I dare you to look at a pic of Lennon an Meryl Streep side by side and tell me they dont look exactly the same,” one shared on X (fka Twitter), including side-by-side photos of the two in similar glasses.

Another X user shared, “Damn they were kinda not good looking at all except maybe george...

.also why does John Lennon give Meryl [Streep] streep a bit?” John was an integral part of The Beatles as he was the de facto group leader. He and Paul met as teenagers, and since John was two years older than Paul, he naturally took on the leadership role in what eventually became The Beatles.

However, after the death of manager Brian Epstein in 1967, Paul assumed control, stepping in to fill his shoes. It’s evident in the Disney+ documentary The Beatles: Get Back that Paul's leadership style was charismatic, and he seemed more dominant than John during the 1969 Let It Be sessions. Shown in the first episode of Peter Jackson’s documentary is Paul getting agitated with John for not producing enough new material and having disagreements with George Harrison over his guitar playing technique.

By the time January 10, 1969, rolled around, George reached his wits' end and temporarily left The Beatles. In the second episode, Ringo Starr and Paul are arriving at Twickenham Studios on Monday, January 13, discussing the next steps. With George being absent, there was a significant challenge as the band was scheduled to rehearse for a TV special later that month, which ultimately never happened.
