Through 14 games, the Philadelphia 76ers are off to a rough start, sitting at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with a 2-12 record. Their star center, Joel Embiid, has only played in four games due to a “ left knee management ” plan aimed at keeping him healthy for the playoffs. If the 76ers want any chance of making a deep postseason run—or reaching the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in Embiid’s nine seasons—they’ll have to start picking up some wins.

It’s still early in the season, so there’s time to turn things around. But what if the Sixers can’t climb out of the hole they’ve dug? Would they actually consider trading Embiid?
