J&K UT Junior Wrestling C’ship from Apr 10

Excelsior Sports CorrespondentJAMMU, Apr 6: The Wrestling Association of J&K is organizing the 2025 Junior Men’s Freestyle, Greco Roman, and Women’s National Wrestling Championship, scheduled to be held at the Jammu University Wrestling Hall on April 10. The event is being organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu, under the auspices of the Wrestling Federation of India, J&K Sports Council, and the J&K Olympic Association.The winners of each weight category will represent J&K in the upcoming Junior National Wrestling Championship in Kota, Rajasthan, from April 20 to 22, 2025.

Organizers have stated that wrestlers born in 2005, 2006, and 2007 are eligible to participate. Competitors born in 2008 may also participate with a medical certificate and parental consent.All eligible wrestlers from J&K UT, both boys and girls have been asked to report to the venue at 8 AM on the event day, bringing a photocopy of their birth certificate (issued by the Municipal Corporation or Police Station) and their Aadhar card.
