J&K revises State Disaster Management Authority Composition

JAMMU, Apr 2: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued a notification amending the composition of the State Disaster Management Authority under the Disaster Management Rules, 2007. As per an order, the authority will now include the Chief Minister as Chairperson (ex-officio), the Deputy Chief Minister as Vice-Chairperson, and ministers for Health and Medical Education, Jal Shakti, Agriculture Production, and Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs as members. Additionally, the Chief Secretary of J&K will serve as the Chief Executive Officer (ex-officio), while the Administrative Secretary of the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction will act as the Member-Secretary.
