According to BJP, the rally is scheduled to take place at Srinagar’s Sher-e-Kashmir Park and around 30,000 party workers and supporters are expected to attend it. The rally is part of the BJP’s campaign to garner support for its candidates in the Valley.

Sharing details BJP leader Altaf Thakur said that the Prime Minister is coming to Srinagar to interact with the party workers. “He will meet with the 19 candidates of the party and this will boost the morale of the candidates,” he added. Of the 47 seats in Kashmir, the BJP has fielded candidates in 19 constituencies, fewer than in the last Assembly elections held in 2014.
