Jimmies men's soccer lose 5-0 at Central Methodist

The Jimmies and Eagles each had eight shots in the second half.

FAYETTE, MO. — The University of Jamestown men’s soccer team found themselves trailing early and could not figure out a way back in a 5-0 loss to Central Methodist University (MO.) on Saturday, Sept.

7, at the Eagles’ Davis Field. Less than six minutes into the game, the Eagles found the back of the net when Altin Shabi scored to push his team in front 1-0. Just over 10 minutes later, the Eagles doubled their lead to make it 2-0.



The Eagles would add two more before the break to take a 4-0 lead. The Eagles (5-0) scored one in the 73rd minute to finish the game off at 5-0. The Jimmies (1-2-1) had a better second half than the first as they had more shots, saves and corner kicks in the second 45 minutes.
