Vasan Bala's directorial Jigra, featuring Alia Bhatt as a protective sister to Vedang Raina’s character, is slated to release on October 11. The much-awaited Alia Bhatt movie is the story of a sibling who would defy all odds to go any lengths and protect her brother. The teaser trailer announcement poster for the action flick was announced on September 8, with the protagonist Alia Bhatt in a fierce, menacing look.

The trailer dropped sharp at 11 am, with Alia going all guns ablaze in a mission to rescue her brother, who is languishing in a foreign prison. The trailers show Alia Bhatt training to bust into the prison facility to get her brother released. Manoj Pahwa plays the role of doting mentor to the protagonist, asking her not to play Bachchan.

Initially scheduled for a 27 September theatrical release, the movie was postponed to October 11.
