In a significant development in the Jharkhand election results , chief minister Hemant Soren 's wife Kalpana is locked in a close fight in the Gandey constituency even as her party seems to be hurtling towards its best performance ever with Election Commission data showing the JMM leading in around 33 of the 81 assembly seats. As per the latest EC data, Kalpana is leading by just 300 votes against BJP's Muniya Devi.
