Davante Adams is trending toward making a fifth consecutive start for the New York Jets when they host the Indianapolis Colts on November 17. Adams did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, mainly due to an illness. On Friday, the three-time All-Pro First Team wide receiver participated fully and officially carries a questionable status heading into the Sunday kickoff at MetLife Stadium.
In addition to an illness, Adams has also been bothered by a wrist issue. "Illness more than anything. He had a little bit of wrist soreness, but more of an illness.
We'll see how the week goes," said Jets' interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich on Wednesday. After Friday's practice, Ulbrich providing an encouraging outlook for one of Aaron Rodgers's all-time favorite targets. "He had a little bit of an illness the first couple days here and came back and he was confident throughout this entire process that he was going to be ready to play in this game," said Ulbrich.

Looking out of sync with Rodgers at times, Adams has totaled 206 yards and one touchdown after being reunited with his old quarterback. Meanwhile, Rodgers, who has been banged up throughout the season, was a full practice participant for the second week in a row and does not carry an injury designation for Sunday. New York, however, has ruled out starting left tackle Tyron Smith due to a neck injury.
The Jets (3-7) and the Colts (4-6) will kick off at 1 p.m. ET in East Rutherford after the game was flexed out of the Sunday Night Football time slot .
