The New York Jets will look to turn their season around on Sunday against the New England Patriots. The Jets made a big move leading up to the matchup, as they activated All-Pro edge rusher Haason Reddick after he had been holding out from the team to begin the season. New York will need Reddick to make an immediate impact in a must-win divisional matchup.
© Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports In order to create a roster spot for Reddick, the Jets released veteran edge rusher Takkarist McKinley from the active roster. In his first and only season with the Jets, McKinley finished with nine total tackles and a half sack in seven games. The former first-round pick has now played for seven different NFL franchises in eight seasons.
Aside from McKinley's release, the Jets made multiple moves leading up to the Patriots matchup. They have elevated offensive lineman Alec Lindstrom and defensive back Jarius Monroe, as offensive guard Alijah Vera-Tucker and safety Ashtyn Davis have both already been ruled out for Sunday. While McKinley had a disappointing tenure with the Jets, the team is expecting a big difference with Reddick.

He's been in so many systems, so to pick up ours wasn't super difficult for him. He really put in the extra time to learn it and, physically, he looked good out there. So, we're excited about what he'll contribute to our rush group.
