Fans should keep their eyes on the Jeopardy! job board as there's an opportunity for them to get involved in their favorite show. Sony Pictures Entertainment is looking for a researcher to work full-time. Whoever snags the job will be tasked with fact checking and "ensuring each clue can only correspond to a single, correct response," according to the LinkedIn posting.
Additionally, the researcher will work with a team to map out potential categories for the show and "keep content relevant and engaging for the audience." The job posting advertises, "This position will have the opportunity to make a great impact on the quality of the show, ensuring Jeopardy!’s brand and reputation remain at a high standard. In addition to working on the regular syndicated show, this Researcher position may have the opportunity to work on spin-off shows such as, Celebrity Jeopardy! and Pop Culture Jeopardy!" Jeopardy! fans demand show eliminates controversial and hated category Jeopardy! fans ‘couldn’t stop laughing’ over clue as they joke producers ‘take any chance to troll Ken’ They require a Bachelor's degree in some sort of media or communications field.
However, they'd also be willing to hire a fan who has lots of experience in journalism, teaching, or other research for televisions. They will work out of the Sony office in Culver City, C.A.
with a base salary between $70,654 to $91,850, but have the opportunity to work from home in a hybrid model. Alongside the compensation, Sony claims they have potential other incentives and benefits. Sony added: "The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
" Jeopardy! also includes a spin-off show called Pop Culture Jeopardy!, which the research would be working on. The show gives its own fresh and exciting twist to the fan-favorite game. Instead of Ken Jennings taking the lead, Colin Jost is stepping into the hosting gig.
This new era allows a researcher to really make the role their own, but still get guidance from tried and true industry experts who are head writers for the iconic television show.
