If there’s anyone’s coat collection I envy most, it’s Jennifer Lawrence. From cozy shearling to leopard print, Scandi labels, and a sprinkling of The Row, Lawrence sees herself through the seasons and elements in a various but curated selection of outerwear. Now a new piece has entered the actor’s wardrobe and made its springtime debut.
Lawrence stepped out yesterday (April 9) in New York City wearing a red, intricately detailed and swirling patterned silk jacket made from traditional Chinese fabric, with black textured piping, and a collarless neckline. The actor, who recently welcomed her second child with husband Cooke Maroney, paired it with soft and slouchy black pants, and—forgoing her usual rotation of sneakers —leopard print flats. Lawrence also wore round brown lensed sunglasses, and toted a vintage Fendi Selleria bag with a whipstitch trim, an on-trend doctor’s style bag that’s fast becoming a favorite of the No Hard Feelings actor.
Jennifer Lawrence, styled often by Jamie Mizrahi, has cultivated a quietly assured and refined sense of style, looking to the sleek silhouettes of Loewe and key pieces from The Row that create a timeless wardrobe. In more recent appearances, she’s proven she’s not afraid to experiment with color or print: A brilliantly blue jumper from The Row is a trans seasonal go-to, leopard print for both coats and accessories, and butter yellow pieces dusted off for lighter, springtime dressing. And while this looks to be a special new piece, it’s certain that it won’t languish in Lawrence’s wardrobe.
Just this week, she returned to a chocolate brown trench she’s worn and reworn to combat the once again capricious and freezing temperatures. Loud prints are set to be on the fashion agenda once again too, as seen on the runways of Marni (a J-Law favorite) and Pucci .
