Jefferson hires new administrator

JEFFERSON — Village council voted unanimously Monday evening to hire Steve Murphy as the new village administrator, after the long-time law enforcement officer took a second look at the job. Murphy said he needed a little warming up to the idea after he originally turned down the possibility of moving from full-time law enforcement to village administration.
