Billionaire Jeff Bezos and his fiancée, Lauren Sánchez , have donated $110.5 million to help fight homelessness. However, that number of only a fraction of the Amazon CEO's $214 billion net worth .
On November 21, the Amazon founder and the former news anchor, who recently updated fans on the couple's wedding , announced that the money will go to 40 different organizations that focus on family homelessness. ” Bezos, 60, said the 40 organizations they are recognizing “are leading groundbreaking work on the frontlines of the fight to end homelessness and build independence for families.” “No child should sleep outside, and it’s a privilege to help in the extraordinary efforts of these organizations,” he added. The couple — who got engaged in May 2023 after nearly five years of dating — have donated hundreds of millions of dollars to charity over the course of their relationship.
In October, Bezos and Sánchez announced their Bezos Earth Fund was donating $60 million to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. The grant will aim to restore and conserve the Northern Great Plains and “grasslands and longleaf pine forests” of the Southeast. A source told Page Six: “The news was announced during a 20-minute fireside chat between Jeff, Lauren and [hedge funder philanthropist] Paul Tudor Jones in front of guests.

The couple have taken a break from wedding planning in recent months as Sánchez has released a new children’s book and they've joined Katy Perry in Europe to celebrate her 40th birthday . Now that Sánchez is back in the States, she made an appearance on the Today show. While on the talk show, the ex-journalist sat down with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie to talk about her struggles with dyslexia and her all-female Blue Origin space crew.
Amongst the many topics discussed, Sánchez opened up about wedding planning. “You know, with the book tour and making these grantees has taken up a lot of my time and then the holidays,” she revealed. Once the hosts assumed it wasn’t on her radar currently, she quickly denied the claims.
“No, I’m getting to it right now. Very excited about it,” she said, before sharing that she has been focused most on “the dress.” She still seems to be in the beginning stages as she continues to scroll through a popular wedding planning platform.
The journalist confessed: “I do have a Pinterest. I’m just like every other bride.”.
