Vice-president JD Vance has once again become the butt of jokes over his alleged use of eyeliner, and this time its related to the thorny issue of Trump’s controversial tariffs.Now, we don’t take issue with anyone for their apparent use of make up, but if you’re part of a government seemingly hell-bent on trying to end democracy as we know it, that is targeting minority communities, and causing widespread financial and economic uncertainty, then you’re probably fair game.Trump has caused havoc in the global financial markets with the announcement of new tariffs on imports into the US, especially from China who faced a levy of 145 per cent on most goods.

It also reported that only seven per cent of beauty products sold in the US are made there.And the Observatory of Economic Complexity claimed that between February 2024 and January 2025, the US imported $7.

67 billion (close to £5.8 billion) worth of beauty products. Although the majority of these reportedly came from South Korea, Chinese imports were worth an estimated $671 million (£507 million).
