Former talk show host Jay Leno didn’t let his injuries prevent him from kicking butt at his recent comedy gig. Jay showed up to his recent appearance with an eye patch, a black eye, a wrapped wrist, and a puffy face after taking a hard fall close to his hotel. Paparazzi caught snaps of the comedian heading to the Comedy for Koby event in Beverly Hills Monday night.
Jay revealed to TMZ that he was at a hotel that was on a hill and wanted to get to a restaurant that was at the bottom of it. On his journey towards the restaurant, he ended up fallling down the hill . As he’s healing, he’s wearing an eye patch and a wrist wrap. Irrespective of his injury, he still performed at the Yaamava’ Casino in Southern California over the weekend. The Collision Course star explained that thousands of people were waiting for him to hit the stage and he didn’t want to let his fans down.
So he decided to make a hospital trip after he performed. In recent years, the comedy legend has broken bones in a motorcycle wreck, and also gotten third-degree burns when he was in a car fire in his garage. He told People in May 2023, that he was doing "alright" and he had a "broken collar bone and two broken ribs and a couple cracked knee caps.
" Jay also said: "Real people have accidents every day. When you’re in show business people fawn all over you. And if you start whining and complaining about it you’re a whiny, complaining actor.
It’s better if you just make jokes about it and have fun." He added: "There’s a little pain, but it’s not bad. Pain is constant, so if it’s constant you’re okay.
