Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah achieved another massive achievement in his already incredible international career by taking his wicket tally to 401. He took 4 wickets against Bangladesh during the Test match in Chennai which took him past the 400-wicket mark. His tremendous spell of 4/50 massively helped India in bowling out the visitors for only 149 runs and take a 227-run lead.

By doing this, Bumrah became the sixth Indian pacer and only the ninth Indian bowler overall to surpass 400 international wickets. The pacer dismissed Bangladesh’s Hasan Mahmud at the cusp of Tea to reach the milestone. Bumrah is one of India’s most unique pacers who is known very well for his unorthodox action, incredible pace and the ability to take wickets under pressure in every format of the game.

As soon as he made his debut, Bumrah made an instant impact with his ability to bowl pinpoint yorkers which massively restricted the flow of runs for the opposing teams. His consistency with the new ball at the death helped India in both the white-ball formats. The 30-year-old is also the fastest Indian bowler to take 100 ODI wickets and also the fastest Indian to 50 T20I wickets.

Bumrah has consistently taken wickets with the new ball and has also taken many wickets by reverse-swinging the old ball. His Test bowling average is among the best for Indian pacers. The pacer is expected to lead the Indian bowling attack across all the formats for several years to come.
