Jamie Oliver has impressed fans once more after he released a two-ingredient recipe for pasta - and people are amazed at how easy it is to make. Many families turn to pasta and sauce as a quick and easy meal idea. It’s filling, can be made healthy with some veggies, and leftovers can be easily reheated for lunch the next day.
But if you’re looking for a way to elevate your pasta dishes and to make it “delicious,” look no further. Jamie Oliver asked on TikTok : “WHERE has this pasta recipe been all our lives?” All you need to make “delicious and rustic tagliatelle at home” is flour and water, and for one person, you need a “big handful” of flour and a splash of water. Then you “take a spoon or a fork and mix it around”.
Jamie advised that “if it’s a bit sticky, add more flour,” and he also recommended getting the kids involved with this because it’ll teach them a basic life skill and provide plenty of fun. He said you want the mixture to be “shiny and not too sticky,” then take it out and “put it on a surface”. Next, take a rolling pin to roll the flour and water mix out.
“Again, it’s fun. In no time at all, we can roll out this pasta, which is pretty thin, and then what I want to do to guarantee that it doesn’t stick is to give it a good flour like that. Then roll it up; it’s just a game,” Jamie said.
Chop it up “around half a centimetre thin" – and then once you’ve done that, the pasta needs to be separated by shaking your hands together in a “bird cage” motion. Jamie popped the fresh pasta into a pan and explained it “doesn’t need that much time to cook” because it had been freshly made. As he plated up the pasta and sauce, he gushed: “What a joy,” sharing that it was a “delicious” meal to make for the whole family.
In the comments, many asked: “Where’s the egg?” but people were quick to point out that the first pasta was, in fact, only two ingredients like this one. Someone penned: “For those who don't know, you can make pasta with only water and flour. Especially if you have an egg intolerance.
It's nothing new”. “It must be so delicious because that pasta is so freshly made,” a woman gushed. “Oh my word, I didn’t realise that making pasta was actually that easy.
I need to try this,” somebody else shared. Others urged Jamie Oliver to share the sauce that he’d made to put the pasta in, as it looked “so delicious”..
