Penn State head coach James Franklin got into a verbal altercation with a fan following the Nittany Lions' 20-13 loss on Saturday. Penn State's offense faltered in critical moments, including four unsuccessful attempts inside the 5-yard line in the fourth quarter. In a high-stakes top-five matchup, the Nittany Lions were shut out of the end zone, underscoring a frustrating afternoon for their offense.

Penn State's only touchdown came from the defense, which picked off Ohio State quarterback Will Howard on the Buckeyes opening drive and returned it for a score. The loss came in front of a record crowd of 111,030 at Beaver Stadium. Some fans directed their anger towards Franklin as he walked off the field following the loss.

Franklin responded before the fan waved him off and walked away. Penn State turned it over on downs on their final drive but also had a pass picked off in the end zone just before the half.

Quarterback Drew Allar finished with 146 yards. Penn State's leading rusher was tight end Tyler Warren, who had three carries for 46 yards. Franklin's Lions fell to 7-1 with the loss and will look to bounce back next week against Washington.
