It's no secret that talks between running back James Cook and the Bills have not been going very well this offseason, despite Buffalo Brandon Beane getting a slew of other contract extensions done. And this latest update makes it seem that Cook's time with the Bills is coming to an end sooner rather than later. According to WIVB , Cook's Orchard Park home was listed for sale this week, with the photos including shots of game balls and framed jerseys.
The four bed, four bathroom house with a big backyard and full finished basement is being listed by Hunt Real Estate . This news comes after Beane spoke about Cook and the contract extension at the 2025 NFL Annual League Meetings . And he made it clear that a deal is nowhere close to being done.
“His reps have put it out there that we did talk, so that's not anything new," Beane said when asked about Cook's contract situation. "It didn't lead to anything as far as closing in on a deal, so we moved on to the guys that we were all on the same page with. I don’t see us getting something done anytime soon.

Cook has made it clear that he is looking to be making $15 million per season, which would make him the third-highest paid running back in the league. However, the Bills have not been willing to meet his demands as of now. There is no denying that he's a major part of the Bills success.
Last season, Cook rushed for 1,009 rushing yards and recorded a league-leading 16 rushing touchdowns on top of the 32 passes for 258 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns.
