Jacksonville Jaguars' restricted free agent Joe Giles-Harris has landed with a new team in the AFC, signing a free agent deal with the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals announced that this is a one-year deal for Giles-Harris.A restricted free agent is a player with three accrued NFL seasons.

The Jaguars did not tender Giles-Harris a contract offer this offseason, which then made him an unrestricted free agent who was able to sign wherever he pleased.Giles-Harris initially signed with the Jaguars in 2019 as an undrafted rookie out of Duke. After spending two seasons in Jacksonville, Giles-Harris also spent time with Buffalo and then began the 2024 season with New England before he was released in early December.

The Jaguars then signed Giles-Harris and he appeared in the team's final two games last year on special teams. The bulk of Giles-Harris' playing time in his career has come on special teams, where he's played 402 snaps across five of the six phases. On defense, he has 226 career snaps, 205 of which came in 2020 with the Jaguars, according to PFF.

GM James Gladstone has quickly gone about reshaping the Jaguars' roster this offseason. This included signing 10 outside free agents, while not bringing back any of the team's unrestricted free agents. Jacksonville would also release Evan Engram, along with three other players, and traded Christian Kirk as well.
