Jaguar unveils 'Type 00' concept car as first under new brand identity and the pictures are stunning

British automotive manufacturer Jaguar unveiled its latest design philosophy with the introduction of an all-electric concept vehicle named “Type 00.” This model, pronounced “Type Zero Zero,” showcases a design that is both minimalistic and somewhat ostentatious. Jaguar plans to launch several new electric vehicles in the upcoming years, including a four-door GT model anticipated to be unveiled next year, which will bear similarities to the concept car. The company estimates that its new production electric vehicle will achieve a range of up to 430 miles on a single charge, with the capability of providing up to 200 miles of range in just 15 minutes of rapid charging. This announcement follows the recent release of a visually striking video aimed at promoting Jaguar’s “Copy Nothing” rebranding initiative, featuring androgynous models of diverse ethnic backgrounds and sizes, dressed in vibrant attire against a colorful backdrop.

The 30-second video featured updated logos and typography for the troubled automotive manufacturer, which is part of the Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover group. Type 00 in London Blue and Miami Pink, revealed at Miami Art Week. London Blue honours the iconic Opalescent Silver Blue of the 1960s E-type.

Critics expressed their discontent over various aspects, including the selection of the new font and the removal of the iconic Jaguar animal logo that has been associated with the brand since the 1950s.
