Jadon Sancho completes late Chelsea loan move after Manchester United agree exit

It is believed that the deal - wrapped up before the two-hour extension that gave them until 1am BST in the early hours of Saturday morning - includes an obligation to make the move a permanent one next summer for a fee of around £25million if certain criteria are met, which would bring an end to Sancho’s difficult spell at Old Trafford. The 24-year-old arrived at United from Bundesliga giants for £73million in the summer of 2021, but has failed to produce his best form on a consistent basis since then and lost his place in the England squad.

Ex-Manchester City youngster Sancho fell out with manager Erik ten Hag last season and spent the second half of the campaign on loan back at Dortmund, before returning to United training in the summer after a meeting with the Dutchman.
