Jackson County Legislators vote 5-4 to require assessor to comply with Missouri Tax Commission

The Jackson County Legislature voted 5-4 in favor of an ordinance requiring the county to comply with a Missouri State Tax Commission order. A judge ruled March 31 that Jackson County must roll back 2023 property assessments and cap any increases at 15%, in line with the commission’s requirements.
