An American YouTuber who has travelled to all 54 countries has revealed his three favourites, as well as sharing travel tips and practical advise for anyone wanting to visit the continent. Content creator Drew Binsky claims to have visited all of Africa 's 54 countries and did quick a breakdown of his five favourite visits back in September 2022 . Drew said that the list will surprise and shock anyone visiting Africa, and "it might make you even book a flight out here to experience the adrenaline rush for yourself".

Tanzania came out on top of Drew's list of places to visit in Africa, saying that the Hadzabe trip were the "coolest people ever". Coming in at number two was Ethiopia with Drew saying he was "obsessed" with the country, with Namibia completing the top three list. The east African country of Tanzania, with a population of over 66 million, was Drew's top pick for countries in Africa and, from the video, it's easy to see why.

The YouTuber said he was on his fourth trip of the country and said that could "not get enough of this place right now". After haning out with the Hadzabe, one of the last-remaining hunter-gatherer groups in Africa, Drew visited the Serengeti National Park where he spotted zebra and wildebeest migration. He then travelled to the he iconic Ngorongoro Crater in northern Tanzania, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

He said: "I've never seen a crater in my life that's this big. I mean it goes on forever." Drew also took in Mount Kilimanjaro, the largest freestanding mountain in the world, and then the Zanzibar which, according to Drew, is some of the "most beautiful beaches in the world".

Drew said: "If you can only visit one country in Africa, let it be Tanzania. It's safe, the streets are clean, there's no scams here, everyone's super nice, they speak English, you will absolutely love it." Ethiopia, home to over 128 million people, came second on Drew's list as he praised the country's "many amazing cultures".

Drew said that he has visited the East African country nine times as he urged other tourists to venture outside of the country's capital Addis Ababa. Drew said he visited fascinating areas out of town, including the city of Dire Dawa in the East and the old city of Harar, a UNESCO site which is full of "Somali culture". He said: "You have Lalibela, which is an amazing ancient Chtistian rock formation.

And speaking of religion, Ethiopia is split between Islam and Christian, and they have a really interesting branch of Christianity, and it's reallt unique in Ethiopia." The YouTuber also visited Tigray in Northern Ethiopia, where he enjoyed an amazing hike to Christian churches which are carved into the mountains. He also visited the town of Gandha which has a big Jewish population and the Omo Valley in Southwestern Ethiopia "where you can find some of the most incredible tribes in the world with fascinating traditions".

He said: "Ethiopia has the best food in Africa. The best coffee in the world is there. I can go on and on about Ethiopia.

" Finally, Namibia, home to just under 3 million, completed Drew's top three. The country, in Southwest Africa, is the second least densely populated country in the world, behind only Mongolia. Drew said: "It's one of the only places in the world that you can find beautiful sand dunes that intersect exactly with the ocean.

Now I can finally see why everyone always falls in love Namibia, this place is as good as it gets." The Youtuber visited Etosha National Park before travelling to Windhoek, describing it as a "cool capital city". Drew said: "The people are so lovely and friendly, they speak great English.

" Finally, Drew visited Sossusvlei, which he said had "incredible nature" with trees in sand dunes. "And of course you have the Himba tribe near the Angola border in Namibia," Drew added. "They have the clay hair, and they're just so cool, I really love visiting the tribes in Africa, it's so enriching and so amazing to appreciate their cultures and traditions.
