In my time as a beauty writer I’ve been lucky enough to try plenty of different perfumes over the years, and that’s given me a pretty good nose for which ones to wear each season. As we leave summer and behind and start gearing up for autumn, there are some scents that are perfectly suited for this time of year. Packed with warm, cosy notes like amber, cedarwood and vanilla, there are five perfumes in particular that I’ll be wearing on rotation this season that I just can’t get enough of.
As well as their gorgeous scents, they’re also long lasting and well-fragranced, so a little goes a long way, meaning they’ll last you all through the autumn and well into winter. Not to mention, some of them are very affordable too! Floral Street Wild Vanilla Orchid Eau De Parfum , £74 for 50ml Summer is all about sweet floral scents, and if you’re not quite ready to give those up for autumn then Floral Street’s Wild Vanilla Orchid is for you. Top notes include strawberry and white flowers, whilst base notes feature amber, sandalwood and white chocolate, making it sweet, rich and expensive smelling – despite its £20 price tag. It has some faint citrus and floral aromas too which stop it being too overpowering.

Good price also.” Fenty Fragrance Eau de Parfum , £65 for 30ml This is one of my go-to fragrances for this time of year, and I’ve been wearing it since last year and always get tonnes of compliments on it.
The Fenty Fragrance is quite a sensual-smelling perfume with really warm notes, and it lasts for AGES. I can spray it on in the morning and smell it on my skin when I get into bed at night, The warm floral scent includes magnolia, musk, tangerine and Bulgarian rose, and it smells so luxurious and expensive – definitely a perfume I’ll never stop buying. Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Absolu , £105 for 50ml If you’re looking for a perfume that manages to be subtle and delicate whilst still being powerful and confidence-boosting, the Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Absolu is definitely for you.
Another perfume that has a sensual feel to it, this is the perfect evening scent for nights out and events that are heading our way as we near the end of the year. Top notes of black fig lead into heart notes of sandalwood, whilst the base notes of tuberose give it some woody depth. It also lasts all day long – a true winner.
