Masontown Iva Pearl Fetherman, 73, of Masontown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 23, 2025, with her friends and caregivers by her side. Masontown Iva Pearl Fetherman, 73, of Masontown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 23, 2025, with her friends and caregivers by her side. Iva was born September 9, 1951, in Garrett, Md., to Helen Mae Fike and Ralph Fetherman.

She was one of seven children. Iva worked at Goodwill Industries several times from 1979 to 2018 and then enjoyed retirement spending her days at Maplewood Adult Day Center until 2020. Iva was a long-time resident of Laurel House, Inc.



since September 1, 1979. She was a caring, spirited woman who loved to collect porcelain dolls and had an extensive collection of unique ink pens. She was a Special Olympics athlete who participated in Bowling and Track and Field, where she earned medals and loved showing them off to those around her.

She enjoyed being around children and babies. She enjoyed traveling and vacations to Ocean City, Md.; Tennessee; and camping at Big Bear Lake in West Virginia.

Iva was an important part of Laurel House Inc., and her loss will be deeply felt by her friends and caregivers. Friends and family will be received from 12 noon to 3 p.

m. Monday, April 28, in Gates Funeral Home and Crematory, 136 N. Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, where words of comfort will be offered at 3 p.

m. Private interment will take place at Mt. St.

Macrina, Uniontown at a later date..
