IU appoints eight new officials, including four hall provosts

Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia, has appointed eight new individuals to various administrative positions, including four hall provosts.This information was confirmed in separate notifications signed by the Acting Registrar H M Ali Hasan, on Sunday (September 29). IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah appointed them to these positions.According to the notifications, Professor Dr Obayedul Islam of Arabic Language and Literature department has been appointed as a student advisor. Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia, has appointed eight new individuals to various administrative positions, including four hall provosts. This information was confirmed in separate notifications signed by the Acting Registrar H M Ali Hasan, on Sunday (September 29). IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Nakib Muhammad Nasrullah appointed them to these positions.

According to the notifications, Professor Dr Obayedul Islam of Arabic Language and Literature department has been appointed as a student advisor. He has been appointed to this position for the next one year. On the other hand, Professor Dr Farukuzzaman Khan of the Computer Science and Engineering department has been appointed as the director of Institute of Islamic Education and Research (IIER).



He will serve in this position for the next three years. Meanwhile, Professor Dr Yeaqub Ali of Al-Quran and Islamic Studies department has been appointed as the transport administrator, and Anar Pasha, the deputy director of the Finance and Accounts division, has been appointed as the acting director of the department. They will hold these positions until further orders.

Furthermore, Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering department has been appointed as the provost of Saddam Hossain Hall, Professor Jalal Uddin of Electrical and Electronic Engineering department as the provost of Begum Khaleda Zia Hall, Professor Dr A K M Rasheduzzaman of Al-Quran and Islamic Studies department as the provost of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall, and Professor Dr A K M Shamsul Haque Siddiqi of Arabic Language and Literature department as the provost of Sheikh Hasina Hall. They will serve in these positions for the next one year starting from September 28. Professor Dr A K M Rasheduzzaman, the newly appointed provost of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall, said, ‘I sincerely thank the Vice-Chancellor of Islamic University for appointing me to this position.

I will fulfill my duties with honesty and integrity.’ Transport administrator Professor Dr Yeaqub Ali said, ‘I thank the administration for giving me this responsibility. I will strive to eliminate all irregularities and corruption from this sector.
