With a dash of humour and refreshing honesty, Chaeryeong clarified that there was never any romantic connection between them. On the April 11 episode of the show, Chaeryeong welcomed Lee Mujin with open arms as a guest. However, it wasn’t their first time on camera together.
Previously, the 23-year-old ITZY singer appeared on Mujin’s show called LeeMujin Service. She was a little under the weather during her appearance on the show. In their latest meeting, the two K-pop stars recalled their previous experience, and that’s when Lee Mujin explained that they kept the questions short and simple so that Chaeryeong wouldn’t have to stress much and she could simply answer “Yes" or “No.
" Because the ITZY singer was mostly quiet during their conversation, many on the internet assumed that she was nervous or even crushing on the host. Chaeryeong was quick to put an end to those rumours. While laughing, she said, “But no way!" when talking about the dating speculations, setting the record straight that nothing was going on between them.
Lee Mujin was taken aback by this harsh confession. He playfully replied, “You didn’t have to say that to my face." He further teased her, saying that she sounded like a child who was trying to defend herself.
Mujin added, “You were far from sounding logical." Fans found this exchange between the K-pop stars hilarious. In no time, they took to social media to point out how Chaeryeong did not even hesitate to shut down the dating rumours, proving that she isn’t afraid of speaking her mind.
Taking to X, a fan said, “Chaeryeong friend zoning Lee Mujin in front of everyone like (loudly crying face emoji)." Another added, “She really is the it girl I am crying." Meanwhile, a different fan wrote, “I actually think they would make a cute couple.
They both seem so nice." Someone else pointed out, “She really said ‘ew a man." Speaking of Chaeryeong, the 23-year-old debuted as an idol with ITZY in 2019, whereas Lee Mujin rose to fame after appearing on the music audition show Sing Again in 2020, in which he finished in 3rd place.
