This Morning fans all issued the same complaint on social media after the stars of the ITV daytime show tucked into some festive sandwiches live on air. Cat Deeley was joined by Dermot O'Leary in the studio for Tuesday's (November 12) episode as Ben Shephard films his new show The Summit in New Zealand. They welcomed chef Clodagh Mckenna back to the programme to talk them through some of the best Christmas sarnies.
However, the noises coming from the famous faces tucking into the tasty treats left viewers watching at home "feeling sick". Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter , one fan penend: "The lip slapping while eating the Christmas sandwiches is DISGUSTING. #ThisMorning.
" Another added: "I wish they’d turn their mics off while they’re eating, it's making me feel sick. #ThisMorning." A third person said: "Omg.
Who’s slapping their lips gross #ThisMorning." A fourth social media user said: "Eat with your mouth closed and stop talking with your mouth full. It's disgusting.
#thismorning." Someone else agreed: "They were making me gag the way they were eating those sandwiches. They need to learn some manners.
' However, some fans were delighted to see Dermot and Cat working together on This Morning for the first time and wasted no time in sharing their honest opinion online. One fan wrote: "Really like Cat and Dermot together they two are the ultimate dream team! I’ve been thinking that for a long time that Cat would be more suited to Dermot..
. love their humour #ThisMorning." A second said: "Cat works soo much better with Dermot already #ThisMorning.
" Meanwhile a third viewer added: "I think Ben shepherd will leave #thismorning and be replaced with Dermot, so it'll be Cat and Dermot Monday to Thursday and then maybe Alison and Josie on a Friday." During Monday's (November 12) programme, Ben clarified the real reason for missing This Morning. Confirming his destination as New Zealand, he announced he would be presenting a fresh ITV series titled The Summit.
While chatting with presenters Alison Hammond and Cat, Ben clarified via video link: "I'm not in the jungle! I've gone a bit further south, I'm in New Zealand. We are hosting this brand new show for ITV, which is called The Summit..
", reports the Mirror . "I'm going to be guiding them up there, I'm going to be checking in with them at nights and talking them through what stages of the challenges they're in. Hopefully I'll be there when some of them reach the summit.
They're carrying the winnings with them all the way up so what makes it up there is shared with those who actually get there too." The Summit will be hosted by Ben and will see 14 strangers climb a mountain in the Alps in New Zealand's southern island for the chance of winning a share of a potential £200,000 cash prize. This Morning is on ITV1 weekdays at 10am and on ITVX.
