ITV viewers are in for a festive delight as The Chase stars return for another Christmas special as the well-known quizzers transform for the show. After a hiatus in 2023, when a rerun was broadcast instead, a fresh episode is now on the horizon. This year's special will feature actor Tony Maudsley, Olympic Champion Bryony Page, comedian Kerry Godliman and TV presenter Alexander Armstrong, who will face off against five of the Chasers.

Fans are accustomed to seeing the quiz experts in their regular outfits, such as Paul Sinha's white suit, Jenny Ryan's 60s-inspired hairstyle and Darragh Ennis' velvet paisley print jacket and bolo tie. However, they'll be sporting very different looks for the special. Darragh, almost baring all, will embody Cavity Sam, the character from the popular game Operation.

Clad only in light pink briefs adorned with dark hearts, he'll have cardboard objects scattered across his body. With an apple near his throat, a wrenched ankle, and a broken heart, Darragh completes his look with a dark wig, a glowing red nose, and a thermometer in hand, reports the Mirror . Meanwhile, Shaun Wallace has chosen to draw inspiration from his ITV colleague and fellow Chase star Anne Hegerty.

Emulating her wardrobe, he dons a grey pencil skirt, matching blazer, and white blouse. Shaun can be seen wearing full makeup, including red lipstick, and a short brown wig to mimic Anne's hair. Completing the transformation with pearl earrings, it remains to be seen whether Shaun will channel his inner Governess during the show.

While Anne is noticeably absent from the line-up, Jenny Ryan is stealing the show in a dazzling sequinned, off-the-shoulder gown. Embodying Cluedo's Miss Scarlett, the Vixen has traded her usual black glasses for a pair in matching red. Paul Sinha has also drawn inspiration from a classic board game, opting to dress as Mr.

Monopoly. The quizzer looks sharp in a white shirt, black suit and top hat, complete with the character's signature moustache. The ITV star has gone the extra mile by dyeing his hair, eyebrows and faux moustache grey to resemble the iconic game figure.

While Paul has chosen a touch of vintage sophistication, Mark Labbett appears to have taken a more comedic approach. For this year's festivities, the Chase star has transformed into Hungry Hippos' Veggie Potamus, donning a vibrant green onesie. With only his face visible, Mark has painted two large white teeth onto his chin for added effect.

It seems the theme for the Chase's Christmas special revolves around characters from popular games and quizzes. Over the years, fans have seen the quizzers take on roles from The Addams Family and Alice in Wonderland. The Chase Celebrity Special airs on Wednesday 25th December on ITV from 8pm.
