The 1% Club viewers were gobsmacked by the outcome of the show after branding it "too easy". Lee Mack returned to screens on Tuesday night (December 10) with the first of four special editions of the ITV quiz show which will run nightly until Thursday. The popular programme allows viewers to play along at home via the app, but as the show continued, fans claimed that the questions were far from difficult.
Writing on X, one said: "Just me thinking the episodes this week are not a single difficult question, failing to see the rise in toughness between 90-60 both SO easy." A second agreed: "Either I'm a bloody genius or these questions are way too easy..
." Another posted: "These questions do feel suspiciously easy..
. are we gonna get battered with a horrible last few questions, or have I just got lucky with how I think?" When it came to the 1% question, eight contestants were given a chance to answer it. This only fueled viewers' speculation that the questions weren't hard enough as one declared: "If you have this many people at the end then it means the questions are too easy I fear.
" The eight players had the chance to walk away with £1,250, however, they all chose to risk it all to answer the 1% question. The money left in the pot was £97,000, meaning whoever answered the question correctly would split that prize. The 1% question was: "What word is represented by this picture?" Underneath the question was an image of the number 8 in what looked to be inside an ice cube.
But in a shocking turn of events, none of the eight players answered the question correctly. Lee revealed that the answer was "incubate". The twist surprised viewers as one shared: "Never seen that many get to the 1 percent question before, and all men and all wrong.
Hard one, they couldn’t even tell what the thing behind the 8 was meant to be." A second fumed: "That #The1PercentClub final question was unfair!! It wasn't even drawn like a cube, it looked like a mirror!! Those guys were robbed!" Another added: "How did none of them get that?! I literally flicked my head up from my phone, looked at the picture and said 'incubate'.".
