The episode saw Kim Tate, portrayed by Claire King, discover that Ross Barton, played by Michael Parr, had attempted to steal her car. Using this information to her advantage, Kim gave Ross an ultimatum - get rid of her estranged husband, Will Taylor (Dean Andrews), or face the police. Despite not wanting Will dead, Kim urged Ross to do whatever necessary to ensure Will leaves the village permanently amidst their acrimonious split.

Later, Ross, in disguise, attacked Will who feigned unconsciousness before defending himself and revealing Ross's identity. A fight ensued, ending with Will hitting his head on a rock and lying motionless in a pool of blood as a shocked Ross looked on. It is yet to be seen if Will will survive the attack, potentially marking an exit for the character after five years on the popular ITV soap.

Will has been at the centre of drama recently due to the collapse of his marriage with Kim, including an affair with his ex Rose, played by Christine Tremarco. Will was subsequently blackmailed by an unknown individual, who turned out to be none other than Kim, who was privy to all his secrets. The on-and-off duo engaged in a brutal tit-for-tat as they each sought to gain the upper hand, reports Leeds Live .

Earlier this week, Home Farm owner Kim proposed to pay Will £100,000 to swiftly exit her life. However, after discovering his daughter, Dawn Fletcher's, portrayed by Olivia Bromley, issues with Billy Fletcher, played by Jay Kontzle, Will assured her she would never have to fret about finances again, maintaining his resolve in his feud with Kim until Friday evening.
