Coronation Street icon Antony Cotton has spilled all on his fellow actor Alan Halsall's upcoming adventure on I'm A Celebrity 2024. Earlier this week, the ten participants venturing into the jungle alongside Ant and Dec for the new season of I'm A Celebrity were officially unveiled. Expected to endure a series of gruelling trials and the challenge of living outdoors in Australia for up to three weeks, these stars will compete for the coveted title of this year's King or Queen of the Jungle.

Names confirmed for the 2024 edition include celebrity favourites such as Coleen Rooney, Tulisa Contostavlos, Oti Mabuse, Alan, 42, Dean McCullough, Melvin Odoom, Barry McGuigan, Jane Moore, GK Barry and Danny Jones. Antony, who has been portraying the character Sean Tully since 2003 on the ITV soap, made an appearance on Tuesday's Good Morning Britain and shared with hosts including Susanna Reid, the parting words he shared with Alan, the actor behind Tyrone Dobbs since 1998, reports the Mirror . Host Susanna said: "Well, Antony, you spoke to Alan while he was on the plane and when he touched down he told everyone: 'No, I'm only here to play golf.

'" To which Antony replied: "I did, while he was in the air! He wants to play golf and he wants to come home as soon as possible so please everybody vote for him to do every challenge!" The actor shared more insights stating: "Alan Halsall is the nicest man in the world, I don't know a single person who doesn't love Alan. He's absolutely loved by everyone at work." However, Antony added: "He's got a bit of a dickie knee, a bit of a dickie knee issue going on.

" To which Susanna queried: "Will that matter in the jungle?" with Antony replying: "Well yeah, it's all rocky!" Prior to his jungle adventure, Alan disclosed his greatest phobias, conceding: "I'm not scared of anything at home but if you were to put ten snakes on my head, I don't know how I would feel about that as clearly I've never been in that situation before!" Taking on the jungle challenge, he expressed: "This is something I have always shied away from in the past. You are never going to get me on the ice, dancing isn't my thing and this will be much harder than filming a scene in Corrie." He reflected on the differences of being in the jungle, saying: "There I am pretending to be someone else and delivering lines that are written for me.

This is a very different thing. I will miss work too. It's such a huge part of my life and I have been there for such a long time.

I work with my best friends." Commenting on what he will bring to the camp, he mentioned: "My sense of humour and I hope to have a laugh in camp. Worst? Sleeping is going to be interesting.

I have problems sleeping and it has to be pitch black and deadly quiet now that is not going to happen!" Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays at 6am on ITV and ITV X..
