Hull City striker Chris Bedia says he developed a good feeling after conversations with head coach Tim Walter prior to his move to the MKM Stadium. City boss Walter had been on the lookout for a powerful target man to lead the line and opted to return to his native Germany in order to try and find one he felt capable of operating within his system, and his research took him to Union Berlin, with the Ivory Coast frontman arriving on an initial loan in East Yorkshire. Bedia admits he's always wanted to test himself in English football and follow in the footsteps of many top Ivorians in the past, who have come to these shores and become a roaring success.

"Because my manager (Walter) knew the coach (Bo Svensson in Berlin) and though I had different options, sometimes you speak with someone and you have the feeling and you say it's better that you go there and it was my decision to come here. I'm very happy to take this good decision. "Yes (always wanted to play in England).

Before I moved to Union Berlin in January and before that, I really wanted to come to England. I'm not a person who will force something, so if it's good for me, I come. If it's not, I don't come.

" Bedia has shown positive signs in the early weeks of his career at the MKM Stadium and says the Championship is as brutal as he expected it to be. "It's exactly what I was thinking: duels, tackles everywhere, kicks everywhere, runs everywhere, it's very difficult," he told Hull Live. "I feel like sometimes, in the game, when we keep the ball, it's only when we keep the ball, we breathe a little bit.

It's like what I was thinking: it's difficult." Did you know that you can get daily Tigers news sent straight to your device as soon as it happens through WhatsApp? It's quick and easy to join. Just click this link and select 'Join Community' to get started.
