ACTON U15s have stretched their lead at the top of the North East Wales Girls’ League’s U16s’ Blue Division to 10 points. Doubles from Maisie Smith and Layla Armstrong and goals from Casey Armstrong and Jessica Bowen sealed a 6-3 win at Northop Hall for whom Megan Albiston, Laila Orneville and Kacey Roberts replied. Emily Roberts and Olivia England were the respective scorers as Brickfield Rangers and Flint Town United played out a 1-1 draw.
In the Red Division, Lydia Dilworth struck five times in title-chasing The New Saints’ 9-2 verdict against Airbus, whose Megan Elin Povey bagged both. In the solitary U14s’ game, Nia Denham, Sioned Jones and Annie Phillips fired Mynydd Isa to a 3-0 success over FC Brickfield Rangers. It was seven-up for Brickfield Rangers and Northop Hall in U13s’ Division action.

Brooke Hughes (2), Layla Parsonage and Sophie Hardstaff also scored. Northop Hall Falcons missed the chance to go top of the U12s’ Blue Division as they were held to a 3-3 draw against Coedpoeth United. Elisabeth Nash (2) and Lily Dugmore had impressive United on course for only a second league win of the campaign, but Millie Blackburn, Amelia Telcik and Poppy Jenkins salvaged a point.
Moli Mai Thomas grabbed the only goal as Corwen edged out Saltney Town, while it also finished 1-0 as Red Division leaders Northop Hall Jets pipped Acton. Amelia Phillips got the goal. Second-placed Aston Park Rangers got the better of Brymbo Lodge 6-2 thanks to Evie Webber’s hat-trick, Florence Hutchinson’s double and an own goal.
Freya Sear netted both Lodge goals. Elsewhere, Seren Campbell struck twice for Brickfield Rangers in a 5-2 reverse to AFC Flint. Anna Reevell, Alyssa Roderick, Mia Prior, Rosie Wilkes and Holly McClafferty won it.
