Besides being a phenomenal actor, he was known for his blunt nature and was often seen losing his temper for one or the other reasons.

Well, it wasn’t just his wife and children who commented on his fiery side, his co-stars also had their own stories to tell. Recently, actor Nana Patkar shared his memorable experience of working with him during the 1995 film Hum Dono. The actor revealed that Rishi Kapoor had a short temper and would often lose his cool on the sets.



One of the reasons was when director used to ask for multiple takes, which used to irritate the late actor a lot. When Rishi Kapoor Lost His Temper on Nana Patekar Speaking to Lallantop, Nana Patekar recalled an incident where Rishi Kapoor became angry when asked to repeat a shot. The actor felt that the first take wasn’t good and requested Rishi to try again.

“I once asked him to give it another shot, as the first one was terrible. He said, “Who is the director here? Shafi, or you? Hatao yaar isko.” Rishi Kapoor, clearly irritated, agreed to do the second shot, but according to Nana, it was still not what he wanted.

Nana, in his blunt style, told him, “Chintu ye bakwaas hai” (Chintu, this is nonsense). At that point, Rishi lost his calm and began abusing Nana “Itni gandi gaaliyan!” Recalling the moment, he began laughing on how angry Rishi had become. However, after the fifth take, Rishi Kapoor calmed down and said, “Now I will hit you!” But surprisingly, the fifth take came out to be the best one and made it to the final cut of the film.

“That was the best take!” Nana said, expressing how sometimes heated moments can lead to success in filmmaking. Nana had earlier recalled that Rishi once said to him “You are an OK actor, but amazing chef.

” At that time, they used to have a lot of conversations which strengthened their friendship. For the unversed, Rishi Kapoor passed away in 2020 due to cancer. Nana Patekar, on the other hand, was last seen in The Vaccine War, co-starring Raima Sen, Anupam Kher, and Pallavi Joshi.
