Italy PM Meloni, other world leaders extend birthday wishes to PM Modi: 'I am sure ... '

Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his 74th birthday with greetings from global leaders including those from Italy, Australia, and Russia who emphasized strong bilateral ties. Indian politicians also conveyed their best wishes, lauding Modi's leadership and vision for India's progress while wishing him good health and continued success.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received warm birthday greetings from global leaders , diplomats, and Indian politicians as he celebrated his 74th birthday on Tuesday. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni extended warm greetings to PM Modi, reaffirming their commitment to strengthen the friendship and collaboration between the two countries. Meloni took to X (formerly Twitter) to send her best wishes.

“Happy birthday to the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi. I am sure that we will continue to strengthen our friendship and collaboration between Italy and India, to face together the global challenges that await us,” Meloni wrote. Australia’s High Commissioner to India, Philip Green , also extended heartfelt wishes.



“Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, many happy wishes to you on your birthday! We wish you good health. I am confident that under your leadership the Australia-India partnership will reach new heights. Happy Birthday PM Modi, Australia-India Dosti,” Green posted on social media.

Russia's Ambassador to India, Denis Alipov , described Modi as a “true friend of Russia” in his birthday message. “On the auspicious occasion of his 74th birthday, our heartfelt greetings and best wishes for good health, long life, and success of the honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a true friend of Russia and a staunch supporter of our countries' privileged strategic partnership!” Alipov wrote. PM Modi is celebrating his 74th birthday today.

He was born on September 17, 1950, in Gujarat. He led the BJP-led NDA to a third successive victory in the Lok Sabha polls. In India, prominent politicians also marked the occasion with their best wishes.

Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao extended his heartfelt greetings, wishing Modi good health, strength, and wisdom to continue leading the nation towards progress and prosperity. Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu similarly prayed for PM Modi’s good health and long life, expressing hope that India would continue to prosper under his leadership. Naidu, whose party, the TDP, is a key ally in the BJP-led NDA government, emphasized Modi’s visionary role.

Andhra Pradesh deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, leader of the Jana Sena party , praised PM Modi as an “inspirational world leader” and “architect of modern India.” Kalyan lauded Modi for embodying the hopes and aspirations of millions and expressed confidence in his continued leadership in making India a global leader. “You are the embodiment of the hopes, aspirations, and patriotism of millions across this great nation.
