A website glitch caused confusion about scheduled bin collection days in Ipswich over the weekend. Ipswich Borough Council has since removed the bin day checker from its site and is working to correct the issue. Residents have been assured their bins will continue to be collected on the usual day.
James Fairclough, the council’s director of operations, apologised for the mix-up. "Our bin crews will be collecting bins as usual this week and for the foreseeable future.
"The only time of the year we expect bin days to change is because of Christmas and we’ll make sure there is plenty of notice of those changes for residents.".
