
In Pakistan, Islamic scholars are increasingly under attack, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where no place remains safe for them to deliver their message. It will be a tragic chapter in the country’s history that it failed to provide safety to its own scholars. Many Ulema have lost their lives in targeted and suicide attacks, with such incidents rapidly increasing across the region.
It is alarming that these scholars—who have done nothing wrong except preach the message of Islam—are being targeted. Ulema do not seize property or harm the economy; they simply impart knowledge to the masses. Their duty is to spread Islamic teachings, encouraging patience and faith.
Those responsible for these attacks must reflect on the gravity of their actions, knowing they will one day be answerable to Allah. The silence of our leadership is deeply troubling. The government must take urgent action against the perpetrators who are persistently murdering Ulema.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become a focal point for these devastating attacks, where each suicide bombing not only takes innocent lives but also strikes at the heart of the community.
