Being abandoned by her mother and being shunned by other children on her island because of her devil fruit abilities was already a terrible situation.
But after hearing of the Oharans’ research on the Void Century, the World Government issued an order for a Buster Call. Robin thus lost everyone she loved and her home. Among them is retired Vice Admiral Jaguar D.
Saul, who was Robin’s first and only buddy at the time. The two grew close in spite of their differences in age and race, and Saul gave Robin advice on how to accept herself. Actually, Robin’s mother, Olivia, was the reason Saul was in Ohara in the first place.
He was given the task of carrying out the mission alongside the other four Vice Admirals and was aware of the Buster Call that had been sent. Table of Contents Who Is Jaguar D. Saul? Saul was one of the main characters and the inspiration behind Robin’s character development from the beginning of the series.

Saul stands out in the series since he is the first and only giant who is not an Elbaf member, and he even calls them barbarians. As he had told Olivia that he would protect Robin, he defied Saul’s orders and headed to Ohara.
Unfortunately, Saul also perished tragically during the Buster Call after ensuring that Aokiji assisted Robin in escaping—at least, that is what fans were told in Robin’s history, which made the incident even more heartbreaking. But according to the manga, Jaguar D. Saul managed to escape the Buster Call that wiped out the island and all of its inhabitants.
Saul’s survival was disclosed to Robin and the other Straw Hats by Vegapunk in a recent chapter of the manga. Fans were given a flashback of the giant wearing bandages, indicating that he was seriously hurt in the attack. Before allowing Robin to escape, Aokiji imprisoned Saul in an ice jail during the attack.
After the Marines departed the island, Saul found a way to break through the ice of the Aokiji. It wouldn’t be shocking if the former purposefully eased the giant’s punishment, providing him with an escape route, considering that he and Aokiji were friends prior to Saul’s departure from the Marines. Later, in order to recover any remaining knowledge concerning the Poneglyphs or the Void Century, Saul sneaked back inside the island with a number of giants.
In order to ensure that the “Will of Ohara” endures, Saul then fled into seclusion and began conducting independent study. After that, he shared what he knew with Vegapunk, who began following Ohara’s lead to learn the truth about the Void Century. Because he is so inquisitive, Vegapunk memorized all of the information Ohara revealed about the secrets of the world.
Does Saul and Robin Reunite? It definitely cheered Robin to know that her old friend, whom she had presumed dead, was still alive. Tears filled her eyes as she thanked Vegapunk for making sure Ohara’s sacrifice wasn’t in vain. Even though Robin and Saul haven’t gotten back together yet, this will surely happen eventually.
Oda has been hinting that Saul will be a major player in future events, therefore it is likely that Saul will meet Robin and the other Straw Hat Pirates.
