Commander of the IRGC Navy Rear Admiral Alireza Tangsiri told reporters on Monday that four military ships of the IRGC and the Iranian Navy will depart for the United Arab Emirates for a get-together with the UAE’s navy. This is the first time such a naval visit to the UAE will take place, he added. Iran has declared time and again that the regional nations can ensure the security of the region without the presence of outsiders, Admiral Tangsiri stated.

He also unveiled plans for a joint war game with Iraq, saying the Iranian naval forces have already staged joint military exercises with Oman. The commander then noted that a new multipurpose warship carrying drones will join the IRGC Navy’s fleet in the near future..
