Iran stands ready to cooperate with countries in nuclear sphere - official

Iran declaresits readiness to cooperate with other countries in the nuclearsphere, the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization's Vice PresidentMohammad Eslami said at the 68th conference of the InternationalAtomic Energy Agency (IAEA) held in Vienna on 16 September, reports. According to him, Iran has achieved several achievements in thenuclear field in recent years and has exhibited theseachievements. Eslami stated that Iran has accomplished these achievements inthe face of unilateral and tough sanctions.

These achievementsinclude various peaceful fields. The Iranian vice president added that Iran has approved a20-year nuclear power generation program. Under this program, theshare of nuclear power plants in the country's electricityproduction will increase to 20,000 megawatts by 2040.



To note, Iran is basically trying to lift sanctions imposed onthe country by the US and Western countries, unblock its fundsfrozen in foreign countries, and lift restrictions on crude oilexports. Meanwhile, the US and Western countries want Iran to avoidacquiring a nuclear bomb, keep its nuclear program under control,and reduce uranium enrichment..
