Ipswich Collegiate UK invests in mental health with training

A student accommodation provider has enrolled its managers in Mental Health First Aid training. Collegiate UK's Ipswich team has completed a course run by MHFA England that will help the staff to recognise and address mental health issues in their residents. This training forms part of the company’s drive for a robust on-site welfare structure for both employees and students.

The firm is striving to ensure each of its student accommodation sites has at least one mental health trained individual to provide guidance when required. Wendy Garrett, MHFA mental health first aid instructor, said: “It was fantastic to be back in the classroom delivering to enthusiastic learners who truly want to make a difference to the student experience.
