Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) received a significant boost ahead of their IPL 2025 fixture against Rajasthan Royals as express pacer Mayank Yadav joined the squad on Tuesday. twitter.com/c0G5p3svMA Mayank, one of the most promising fast bowlers in Indian cricket, had made his international debut in a T20I series against Bangladesh last year. However, his progress was halted due to a back issue that forced him to miss the entire domestic season and the early part of IPL 2025.

The pacer underwent extensive rehabilitation at the NCA, where he recently cleared his final fitness test. His return comes at a perfect time for LSG, who have done remarkably well with a depleted pace attack. Despite injury to Mohsin Khan, the Super Giants have won four of their seven matches and sit comfortably in the top half of the points table.

Shardul Thakur has led the attack impressively and currently holds the second position on the Purple Cap list. Young spinner Digvesh Rathi has also made headlines with his tight spells, becoming one of the breakout stars of the season. With Mayank’s inclusion, LSG now boast a formidable pace-bowling arsenal as they prepare to face an in-form Rajasthan Royals unit.
