com/asfQgzNDF3 — Apple Hub (@theapplehub) July 24, 2024 With the release still a year away, analysts and informants continue to predict the features that this new model may present to consumers. A research note from Jeff Pu of Haitong International addresses several previously discussed aspects, including the introduction of a 6.6-inch display, which is expected to replace the Plus variant in the series.

The device is likely to be powered by an A19 chip, utilizing the 3-nanometer fabrication process employed by TSMC for the A18 Pro in the iPhone 16 Pro models. Additionally, it is expected to include 8GB of memory, falling short of the 12GB available in the Pro models, as noted by Pu in May. The construction of the slimline model, as proposed by Pu, will utilize aluminum.

This choice is expected to significantly reduce the weight of the device compared to the titanium Pro models, although Apple must exercise caution to prevent any potential bending problems. Additionally, Pu notes that this model will showcase a completely new design in comparison to earlier versions.
