The iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim are once again expected to feature ProMotion support, as ongoing rumors regarding the high refresh rate capability persist. ProMotion has long been regarded as a premium feature for iPhones, with speculation suggesting that it may eventually be available across all models. Following the release of the iPhone 16, which did not include ProMotion, attention has shifted to its potential inclusion in the iPhone 17.

This would encompass the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim, in addition to the two existing Pro variants. LTPO technology enables smartphone displays to operate at a diverse range of refresh rates, accommodating both high and low frequencies while maintaining low power consumption. It is also responsible for the always-on display feature found in the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.

ETNews has not consistently demonstrated reliability in forecasting future Apple products. Nevertheless, this report contributes to the increasing array of speculations regarding the feature and its prospective release. Various sources of rumors have suggested the potential for ProMotion to be extended to additional models, with assertions made in both July and September.

Currently, there are other rumors related to LTPO technology. In late October, it was reported that modifications to the LTPO in the Apple Watch Series 10 might lead to a technological advancement in a forthcoming iPhone display. iPhone 16 vs iPhone 17 rumors Would you upgrade this year or wait until next year? pic.
