People buying the iPhone 16 Pro model which costs Rs 1,19,900 in the market are facing issues with the device and it is related to the screen. According to reports, users have complained about touch response delay, and noticing some of the taps on the screen are not getting registered. The issue seems to be limited to the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models that feature the 120Hz ProMotion display.

One user on Reddit quoted in the report also mentions that the slim bezels on the iPhone 16 Pro series could also be causing the problem. Apple did recently roll out the iOS 18 update for the new iPhone 16 series and other eligible iPhones. It is likely that the new version has affected the display response and caused this issue.

Either way, it is expected that the company will address this issue and possibly fix it with the next iOS 18 update or even push a quick patch to get it working as it should on a premium device. Talking about the iPhone 16 Pro models, we all know by now that the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus models are being made in India this year, even before the launch. But what about the iPhone 16 Pro? Going by the details available on the new iPhone retail boxes, the iPhone 16 Pro is still being manufactured in China.

Even then, Apple has managed to cut the iPhone 16 Pro series price in India by Rs 15,000 compared to last year’s Pro version. But how did that happen? The company has most likely passed on the custom duty cuts to the consumer that was announced during the Union Budget 2024 in July. Apple has been looking to reduce its dependence on China for manufacturing iPhones, and India has already become a strong alternative to lead the charge.
